Position Description

Business Developers at the Wellesley Hills Group identify, initiate and nurture relationships between our clients' and their business-to-business executive-level prospects over the telephone.

The Inside Sales / Business Development position is a core position at the Wellesley Hills Group. As a client team member, Business Developers identify new business opportunities, initiate communication, arrange meetings, and nurture long-term relationships on behalf of our clients using the phone and personalized email.

You will provide lead generation and lead nurturing for the Wellesley Hills Group and for specified clients by identifying, initiating and nurturing potential business relationships. Meet and exceed goals focused on setting high-quality introductions for our clients and their business-to-business sales prospects. Hold introductory conversations with executives at prospect companies. Create interest in our clients' offerings. Document conversations with prospects for the purpose of internal and client communications. Maintain relationships as appropriate over the long-term.

Qualifications and Education

We are looking first and foremost to hire someone with a great attitude that enjoys working directly with our clients, and that enjoys selling over the telephone.

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Enthusiasm and desire to sell using the telephone
  • Ability to hold articulate conversations with executive level business buyers
  • Ability to write brief, clear, grammatically correct emails.
  • College degree
  • Outbound business-to-business phone marketing or sales experience necessary
  • Basic demonstrated proficiency using computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Windows
  • Experience in the use of contact management systems a plus
